About Koala Nursery In a pleasant and safe environment, the entire teaching staff of Koala Nursery, from nursery to kindergarten, accompanies each child in his discoveries and psychomotor, cognitive and social acquisitions. At Koala Nursery, we recognize the child as a whole person and try to establish a relationship of trust and responsibility. Our mission is to promote the development of each child in our care and offer the opportunity to experiment through play, stories, movement, music, colors, speech, song, which promotes a sustainable and harmonious development of the child's faculties.

Koala Nursery Aims and Objectives

Objectives  

Koala Nursery strives to provide all children with high standard professional childcare, create a strong link with families, welcomes children and provide them with, clean, warm safe, fun and friendly environments with high security and supportive staff. We encourage children to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

  • To help children develop responsibility for themselves and their actions and to become competent, confident, independent and cooperative individuals.
  • Respecting each child as an individual, taking into account their appropriate needs
  • To develop a Partnership with Parents by involving parents in children’s care and sharing information and concerns.
  • To ensure staff caring for children are experienced, qualified, caring and professional.
  • To develop a healthy eating programme and support children’s health and wellbeing.
  • To be committed to meeting the needs of parents and carers. To promote a positive relationship with parents/carers and work in partnership with them to provide high-quality play and care for their children.
  • To develop children’s awareness of respect for diversity through play and books.

Aims:

  • Provide a warm, caring atmosphere where children can develop to their full potential with confidence in the company of supportive adults.
  • Promote social awareness, pride in themselves and respect for others, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs.
  • To provide quality care, based on a policy of equality to develop a culture of ambition and achievement.
  • To encourage children to explore the environment and feel comfortable with the staff and the setting.
  • To enable all children to learn and develop their skills to the best of their ability.
  • Promote pride, self-expression, competence, communication and sensory awareness.
  • To provide good equipment which is selected for its safety, educational value and appeal to pre-school children, both inside and outside the Nursery building.
  • To learn through play and first-hand experiences.
  • Encourage the children to work in groups, independently and to co-operate with one another, sharing ideas and feelings and listening to each other.
